Challenge

I was set to start a small, boutique pedal company with a friend who is an electrical engineer. While we never got off the ground, we did explore creating a new brand, something that is different than that of anyone else. Our goal was to create an effects company, based on classic pedal styles, using classic components, and basing all sounds on the classic records we grew up on.

Approach

I wanted to make something that felt both timeless and new. Bold, but also understated. Loud, but also… Loud. I’m a guitar player so I wanted to make a brand that I wanted to have on my board. I allowed myself to dream and listen to the music that inspired me to come up with the pedal ideas. Harkening back, I chose to focus on a more classic styling, but brought into a new light.
